The "Final 4" Team Competition will be held

saturday & Sunday

March 24-25, 2012

at

T.H. Harris Middle School

911 Elise Ave (corner W. Metairie Ave.)

Metairie, LA

 

SCHEDULE 

 2nd Grade & Under &  

6th Grade & Under

will play on Saturday, March 24, at 10 a.m.

 NOTE:  Saturday is Election Day in Louisiana and there will be voting machines in the gymnasium; therefore, the tournament games for Saturday only will be played in the cafeteria.  YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARK IN THE FRONT PARKING LOT OF THE SCHOOL THAT FACES WEST METAIRIE AVE.  PLEASE PROCEED AROUND THE CORNER OF THE SCHOOL NORTH ON ELISE ST. AND PULL INTO THE BACK PARKING LOT OF THE SCHOOL THROUGH THE SIDE GATE ON ELISE ST.  THERE ARE TWO BREEZEWAYS FROM THAT BACK PARKING LOT TO WALK THROUGH TO GET TO THE CAFETERIA  . . . THANKS FOR YOUR COOPERATION.   (The tournament games for Sunday will be back in the gymnasium and you may then park in the front parking lot.)

will play on Sunday, March 25, at 1 p.m.

 

FORMAT 

The "Final 4" competition will be played in our regular Playoff Format:

Team #1 will play Team #4

Team #2 will play Team #3

Two games will be played against each opponent – one with a team playing white and a second with that same team playing black.  Once the final two teams have been determined, they will also play two games against each other . . . one playing as white and one playing as black . . . for the championship round (1st and 2nd places).  The remaining two teams will play two consolation games against each other . . . one playing as white and one playing as black . . . to determine the 3rd and 4th place teams.  In the event that all games end in draws, the final tiebreak will be a 5-minute head-to-head game for those players of Board #1 on each team.
