LSCL Scholastic League - 2nd Meeting - Jan. 28-29, 2012

2012 TEAM TOURNAMENTS

(Non-USCF Rated -- USCF membership not necessary)

Please note the following schedule:

2nd Meeting (Rounds 4-6) - Jan. 28-29:

2nd Grade and Under, and 6th Grade and Under will play on SATURDAY, JAN. 28, with the first round starting at 1:30 p.m.. Approximate time that league play will end is 5:30 p.m. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE STARTING TIME FOR THIS SATURDAY (Jan. 28) is 1:30 p.m. instead of the usual 10 a.m. due to Academic Games in the morning.

4th Grade and Under, and 8th Grade and Under will play on SUNDAY, JAN. 29, with the first round starting at 1 p.m. Approximate time that league play will end is 5 p.m.

3rd Meeting (Rounds 7-9) - March 3-4:

2nd Grade and Under, and 6th Grade and Under will play on SATURDAY, MARCH 3, with the first round starting at 3:00 p.m. Approximate time that league play will end is 7 p.m.  PLEASE NOTE THAT THE STARTING TIME FOR THIS SATURDAY (Jan. 28) is 3:00 p.m. instead of the usual 10 a.m. due to Academic Games in the morning.

4th Grade and Under, and 8th Grade and Under will play on SUNDAY, MARCH 4, with the first round starting at 1 p.m. Approximate time that league play will end is 5 p.m.

FORMAT:

  • G/20 (game in 20 minutes each opponent)
  • Chess clocks will not be used in the 2nd Grade and Under section
  • No Maximum Number of Teams per Division - you may enter as many teams as you wish in any division!
  • Minimum Team Roster: 6 players
  • Recommended Team Roster: 8-10 players

Sat/Sun, March 17 & 18: "FINAL 8" PLAYOFFS!!
  
Sat/Sun, March 24 & 25: "FINAL 4" PLAYOFFS !!!!

NOTE:  Site Locations of the Playoff Games to be announced!

MISCELLANEOUS:

  • Snacks will be available for purchase on-site.
  • Bring your own Chess Board, Set & Clock.
